It’s a fast and east way to announce tidbits of information like meeting notices, location/time changes, meeting cancellations, upcoming activities, etc. It only takes a few minutes to setup an account and you can make it as private or as public as you want. And the cool thing is, you don’t ever have to post a tweet! You can simply join to follow the people or groups you are interested in. Twitter will even send tweets to your mobile device, which may come in very handy if the meeting location is changed last minute and you won’t be checking email or Facebook prior to the meeting.
